The two outstanding planning applications for Meadow View are due to be discussed and decided upon at the upcoming Development Control Committee Meeting on 10th April 2024. As residents may be aware, Bramley Parish Council has objected to both of these applications, although the Borough Council Planning Officer has recommended both applications for approval. As a result, Bramley PC plans to speak at the meeting to argue its case.
If residents wish to speak at the Development Control Committee meeting, they are able to do so. You will need to contact the Democratic Services team on 01256 844844 or at democratic.services@basingstoke.gov.uk. However, you should be aware that you will get a very limited time to speak – members of the public are allowed a total 4 minutes. Therefore, we would advise that residents group together and get one or maybe two people to speak, thereby enabling them to give the biggest impact. That said, we would also recommend that residents attend the meeting, regardless of whether they are speaking or not – a good resident turnout will demonstrate to the Committee the strength of feeling that there may be in the community. More details about the meeting itself can be found on the Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council website.
