The planned roadworks on Bramley Road in Sherfield on Loddon are set to begin in the week commencing 20th November, and will continue until 18th December. They will then resume in early January and continue until 24th January. The diversion route has now been changed, and all traffic will be diverted through Bramley to the A340 Aldermaston Road, and not Cufaude Lane. Bramley & Sherfield Parish Councils have been working together to get the dates and diversion route confirmed. More details are on the One.network website
HCC Highways have confirmed that they are not responsible for drawing up or communicating diversion routes – that responsibility rests with the contractors. They confirmed on Friday 10th November that ‘The TTRO Team are only involved in creating the legal documents in order for works to go ahead. We are not in charge of approvals for works to go ahead and whether the diversion route is acceptable etc’.
