| 4 | Planning & Development | |
| 4.1 | New Applications | |
| a. | 24/01871/ROC – Cherry Blossom Manor German Road Bramley
Variation of conditions 1, 4, 9 and 11 of approved Planning 24/00679/FUL (Erection of two storey extension to care home, plus garden pavilion and five additional car parking spaces) to reduce footprint of extension and additional details · No objection unanimously agreed. Clerk to process. |
Clerk |
| b. | 24/01966/PIP – Locksbridge Farm Cufaude Lane Bramley
Permission in Principle for the residential development of 1 no. dwelling (Class C3) · Proposed access road comes out on Cufaude Lane very close to a bend on a very narrow part of the Lane. This is not a suitable access point to the site. It is also not the access point as agreed in the existing planning permission for the building currently being erected. · Outside the Settlement Policy Boundary. · Overdevelopment of site. · It is an isolated site for dwelling. · The proposed development will increase traffic on a very narrow part of Cufaude Lane. · Objection unanimously agreed as above. Clerk to process. |
Clerk |
| c. | 24/01925/HSE – 6 Browns Close Bramley
Erection of a fence · Members noted the loss of biodiversity with the felling of the trees · However, no objection unanimously agreed. Clerk to process. |
Clerk |
| d. | Any other new applications
· 24/01913/FUL – Withy Place Bramley Road Silchester Installation and operation of a 50MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), including access and associated infrastructure o There is little detail in the application on how the site will be connected with the Bramley sub-station. o Flood risk – the road regularly floods several times a year at various points, along with the surrounding land. Indeed panoramic view 1 shows the flood sign on the road. o The proposed development is adjacent to existing housing, and takes away the panorama from the nearby footpaths. o It is questionable that there will be facilities at the Bramley sub-station to allow connections for this and other proposed battery installations until 2030. o Any contamination from a possible fire at the site will go straight into the water course, as no bunding to prevent this is proposed. o Members noted concerns about the fire safety of such installations. o Objection unanimously agreed. Clerk to process. |
