Wellington Estate Development Proposals

Members of Bramley Parish Council were invited to meet yesterday (23rd June 2025) with representatives of the Wellington Estate and 3West.  3West are acting on behalf of the Wellington Estate on proposals for 600 houses between the Campbell Road roundabout up to behind Bramley Primary School (as per the site plan below).

The proposals are at a very early stage, and there is no formal planning application at this time.  3West and the Wellington Estate are looking to engage with local stakeholders in the first instance, hence the meeting with Bramley Parish Council.  They are planning to hold workshop sessions for the Bramley community on 7th August 2025, at Bramley Village Hall.  These sessions will allow them explain their vision for ‘Bramley Meadow’, and gain opinions and views from local residents on how this will impact them and how they may use the development to improve some issues that Bramley faces.

We are informed that once the views are collated, there will be a further presentation scheduled in October to show what has been said, and what the new development is likely to look like.  Bramley Parish Council understands that a planning application will be submitted to Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council before the end of 2025.

A dedicated website for the development is planned.

Bramley Parish Council urge the Bramley Community to take part in the community engagement event on 7th August.  More details will be published as soon as we have them.  These proposals will have a huge impact on Bramley, and it is important that you make your views known both now and at the planning application stage.
